Election Information
The City of Loretto administers city, state and federal elections for its residents on even years. The odd year school district elections are administered by each school district. City staff are available to answer your questions about polling places, voter registration, absentee voting, and other election information.
For city run elections (even years) Loretto residents vote at City Hall, located at 279 North Medina Street, in the Council Chambers. For odd year school district elections, check with the Delano School District for all voting information.
If you voted in the last election and haven't moved or changed your name, you should be pre-registered to vote in this year's elections. It's easy to check if you're registered - go to the Secretary of State's website, scroll down and click on "Check my registration".

2026 ELECTION INFORMATION
State Primary Election - August 11th, 2026
ABSENTEE VOTING: June 26th - July 23rd
Loretto voters may vote by mail or in-person at Hennepin County Government Center, 300 S 6th St, Minneapolis, MN 55487.
EARLY VOTING: July 24th - August 10th
Loretto voters may vote in-person at Loretto City Hall, 279 Medina Street North, Suite 260, Loretto, MN 55357. During EARLY VOTING, after filling out their ballot, voters will feed their ballot directly into the ballot counting machine.
EARLY VOTING DAYS/HOURS:
In-person voting will be available during regular office hours of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8:00am - 4:00pm, and Friday 8:00am - 2:00pm.
EXTENDED DAYS/HOURS:
Saturday, August 8th, 9am-3pm
Monday, August 10th, 8am-5pm
On Primary Election Day, Tuesday, August 11th, the polls will be open from 7:00am - 8:00pm.
State General Election - November 3rd, 2026
ABSENTEE VOTING: September 18th - October 15th
